Puppy Pricing & Supplies

Goldendoodle Sizes & Pricing

Petite Goldendoodles

Micro Petite Goldendoodle

$4500

Some Petite Goldendoodles are so small that they warrant their own unofficial category, These petite pups are typically less than 15 pounds as adults. In poodles, these are often referred to as “toy” size.

Petite Goldendoodle

$4200

Petite Goldendoodles are the smallest size Goldendoodle, and very desirable for many dog owners. These petite pups are typically less than 25 lbs as adults, and less than 14 inches (at the withers).

Mini & Medium Goldendoodles

Mini Goldendoodles

$4000

Miniature Goldendoodles are the second smallest size Goldendoodle, and highly sought after puppies. Minis are typically 26-35 lbs, and 14-17 inches (at the withers).

Medium Goldendoodles

$4000

Medium Goldendoodles are 17-21 inches (at the withers), and typically 36-50 lbs.

Some of our Mini Goldendoodle grow tall enough to classify as a very small “Medium Goldendoodle”  by GANA Standards.

Puppy Deposits $500 - $1000

After a puppy application is reviewed and accepted, clients submit a deposit to secure their reservation in a current or upcoming litter. The order we receive deposits will determine the order new owners are matched with a puppy in a litter.

Deposits are non-refundable, unless there are no puppies available to reserve. If for some reason a litter pick doesn’t work out, we will forward the deposit to a future litter. Deposits are typically valid for one year.

About our Goldendoodle Sizes

Micro Petite, Petite & Mini Goldendoodles

At Smith Family Doodles, we specialize in breeding Micro Petite, Petite and Mini Goldendoodles with loving temperaments and silky, low-shed coats. Our small Goldendoodles are the perfect size for families and individuals living in the suburbs or in the city — whether living in a large house or a small apartment.

Most of our clients prefer smaller dogs, so we don’t breed Standard Goldendoodles. If you are interested in a larger Goldendoodle, our Medium Goldendoodles are a wonderful size.

Note: Each litter and puppy is slightly different, but our Goldendoodles tend to weigh less than the breed standards above. For example, our dam Coco is considered a Mini-Goldendoodle per her height, but a Petite Goldendoodle per weight (she’s only 21 lbs, but 16 inches at the withers).

What Supplies Do I Need?

Want to take some of the hassle out of preparing for your first days with your puppy? We’re here to help!

Dog Crate

A properly sized crate should be one of the first items on your list! Crate training is an essential part of potty training, encourages healthy sleep habits, and gives your puppy a secure place to rest at night. With access throughout the day, the crate can also become a comfortable retreat whenever your puppy needs some quiet time.

For safety, we recently transitioned from wire crates to enclosed plastic crates. We especially love the secure design & beautiful aesthetics of the KindTail PAWD cr

Playpen / Puppy Area

As your puppy transitions into your home, it’s important to give them a safe, designated space for play and rest. Too much freedom too soon can be overwhelming for a young puppy—and makes potty training and supervision much more challenging.

We recommend a flexible playpen system such as the FXW Auraspace, with enough room for separate sleeping, play, and potty areas. If the playpen will also be part of your puppy’s overnight setup, their crate can be placed securely inside.

Grass pee Pad System

We recommend using a grass potty system similar to the one your puppy has already been introduced to during their first weeks with us. It provides a familiar surface during the transition home and can be used indoors or outdoors—either as preparation for pottying on natural grass or as a convenient alternative when needed.

Be sure to check the dimensions before ordering so the grass pad fits comfortably within the designated potty area of your puppy’s playpen.

Inukshuk Puppy Food

After extensive research, we recently transitioned our entire program to Inukshuk Marine 26/16 Professional Dog Food. This high-quality, highly digestible formula is made with 100% ocean-sourced animal proteins and contains no chicken products—making it an excellent choice for the sensitive skin and stomachs sometimes seen in doodles.

Marine 26/16 is formulated for all life stages, including puppies, adults, and senior dogs. That means your puppy can continue enjoying the same food as they grow,

Training Treats

Small, high-value treats make training fun and help your puppy understand exactly which behaviors you want to encourage. Choose soft, puppy-safe treats that can be broken into tiny pieces so you can reward frequently without overfeeding.

Each Smith Family Doodles puppy goes home with starter training treats they already know and enjoy. You’ll want to have additional treats ready for potty training, crate training, name recognition, and other early lessons.

Puppy Chews & Enrichment Toys

Chewing is a normal and necessary part of puppy development—especially during teething. Provide a variety of appropriately sized puppy chews and enrichment toys to soothe sore gums, prevent boredom, and redirect chewing away from furniture and household items.

Choose toys designed for puppies and supervise all chewing and play. Avoid extremely hard chews, small pieces, or anything that could splinter, break apart, or become a choking hazard.

Filtered Water Fountain

Your puppy should always have access to clean, fresh water. A filtered pet fountain continuously circulates the water, helping remove fur, food particles, and other debris while keeping it fresh and appealing—encouraging your puppy to stay well hydrated.

We love Petlibro water fountains for their quiet operation and thoughtful design. The 2.1-gallon Capsule Dog Fountain is ideal for mini, medium or multi-dog households, while the cordless Dockstream is a great choice for micro-petite puppies.

Grooming Supplies

Our Goldendoodles are thoughtfully bred for beautifully soft, luxurious, fleece-like coats that are typically low-shedding. However, even the best doodle coats require consistent brushing and maintenance to remain healthy, comfortable, and free of mats.

A high-quality slicker brush, metal comb, and gentle de-matting tool for those inevitable tangles are three essentials every Goldendoodle family should have at home. We recommend Chris Christensen for the best quality slicker brushes.

Professional Groomer

Regular professional grooming is an essential part of caring for a Goldendoodle. Most groomers recommend appointments every 3–8 weeks, depending on your dog’s coat, preferred hairstyle, and how consistently they are groomed at home. Longer intervals are generally only appropriate for owners who develop strong at-home grooming skills and invest the time required to keep their doodle clean, thoroughly brushed, and free of mats.

Pet Carrier

For families traveling to pick up their puppy, a high-quality pet carrier is essential. A carrier also helps keep your puppy comfortably contained during car rides and everyday adventures. Look for one suited to how you plan to travel—whether by airplane, car, backpack, or stroller.

We love Mr. Peanuts pet carriers for their thoughtful design, quality construction, and durability. Many of their soft-sided carriers are designed for in-cabin travel and sized to fit beneath an airline seat.

Puppy Harness

Harnesses provide greater comfort and control for young puppies while they learn to walk safely on a leash. Because proper fit is so important, we make sure your puppy’s first harness is fitted and ready to use on take-home day.

Each Smith Family Doodles puppy goes home with their own fitted puppy harness, coordinating collar, and leash. As your puppy grows, you’ll need to replace these with appropriately sized gear.

Snuggle puppy

Leaving their littermates and settling into a new home is a big transition for a young puppy. A Snuggle Puppy provides warmth, comfort, and a soothing simulated heartbeat to help your puppy feel less alone. It can be especially helpful during overnight crate training by reducing restlessness, barking, and whining.

Each Smith Family Doodles puppy now goes home with their very own Snuggle Puppy.
